PURPOSE: A method for removing hydrogen sulfide from paper mill sludge is provided to minimize accessory facility required for collecting malodor generated from wastewater treatment equipment of paper mill and obtain superior malodor removing effect as exceptionally reducing injection cost of malodor removing agent compared to existing deodorizer. CONSTITUTION: In a method for removing hydrogen sulfide in wastewater treatment equipment of paper mill comprising catchment tank, reaction tank, precipitation tank, sludge thickener, conditioning tank and dehydrator, the method for removing hydrogen sulfide from paper mill sludge comprises the processes of primarily injecting one or more iron salts selected from ferrous sulfate, ferric sulfate, ferrous chloride and ferric chloride into a pipe connected between the precipitation tank and sludge thickener; and secondly injecting one or more iron salts selected from ferrous sulfate, ferric sulfate, ferrous chloride and ferric chloride into the conditioning tank, wherein 5 to 20 ppm of the iron salts are primarily injected, and 3 to 15 ppm of the iron salts are secondly injected into 100 ppm of hydrogen sulfide generated from settled sludge of the precipitation tank.
