PURPOSE: A vacuum compression-preventing device of a scroll compressor is provided to prevent the breakage of a hermetic terminal caused by vacuum compression generated in a suction pressure region forming a vacuum, to prevent the degradation of components according to the recompression of a compressing mechanism part and accordingly the reduction of reliability for the compressor, and to reduce noise caused by a valve by installing a vacuum preventing device to an intake hole which has little pressure pulsation in the compressor working. CONSTITUTION: In a scroll compressor having a fixing scroll(10) forming an orbiting scroll(6) and a plurality of compression rooms inside a casing(1), and each compression room having different pressure and serially moving in the orbiting scroll orbiting, a vacuum compression-preventing device of the scroll compressor comprises the fixing scroll having a valve housing including intake grooves sucking in refrigerants into the compression rooms formed by suction and discharge pressure regions(Sl,Sh) of the casing, the fixing scroll, and the orbiting scroll to communicate each other, a valve member(120) inserted to slide-contact to an inner peripheral surface of the valve housing and moved to the changes of the suction pressure according to the operation state of the compressor while interlocking or intercepting the suction and discharge pressure regions, and an elastic member(130) installed in the valve housing to support the valve member and reinforce the movement of the valve member.
