PURPOSE: An indoor unit of a convertible air conditioner of a duct-type is provided to reduce the material cost and the number of working processes in a cover panel and to reduce the weight of the indoor unit. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit of a convertible air conditioner of a duct-type includes a cabinet(52) with a blower and a heat exchanger(53) within, and a cover panel(70). The cabinet forms a discharge port(54) to the top and suction ports(56,62) to the front and the rear. The cover panel selectively closes up one of the suction ports tight. The suction ports are the same in the shape and size. If the cover panel is joined to the front(52a) or the bottom surface of the cabinet, one cover panel closes up one of the suction ports tight, with interchangeableness. |
