摘要 <p>An electrode active material, which is used in a positive electrode of a lithium ion secondary cell and comprises a Li atom, a Mn atom, a Ni atom, a Co atom and an O atom, and has a substantially rock salt type crystal structure. In a preferred embodiment, the electrode active material has a composition represented by the formula: LiaMnbNicCodOe wherein a is 0.85 to 1.1, b is 0.2 to 0.6, c is 0.2 to 0.6, d is 0.1 to 0.5, and e is 1 to 2 (provided that the sum of b, c and d is 1). The electrode active material having the above composition and crystal structure is reduced with respect to the elution to a liquid electrolyte of a cell and exhibits enhanced stability at a high temperature.</p>
