PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump system using a heat pump for pumping heat from a heat source and supplying it to a heat utilizing system, while maintaining good heat exchanging efficiency between the heat source and the heat pump. SOLUTION: The heat pump 20 is laid between a fuel cell 30 (the heat source) and a hot water storage tank 10 (the heat utilizing system). Water as a cooling medium is stored in the condition of a liquid phase in an evaporator 24 of the heat pump 20. The air (non-condensable gas) is mixed into the water to form bubbles in which water molecules evaporate. A portion of the water in the evaporator 24 is delivered to a heat exchange path 31 for the fuel cell 30, heated and then returned to the evaporator 24. The mixture of the air increases the pressure of the evaporator 24 and, in turn, prevents the boiling of the water in the heat exchange path 31. |
