PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigator for presenting information about recommended routes, according to the user's recognition degree about the present position. SOLUTION: The navigator comprises a means 6 for storing the own vehicle's run history and map information linked therewith about each node for each user, a means 4 for calculating the level of each user's recognition about each node in the map information, based on them, a means 3 for searching for a recommended route from the present position of own vehicle to a destination, and a means 5 for presenting information about the recommended route. The route searching means 3 comprises a position checker 31 for checking the present position of own vehicle with respect to the recommended route, a determining unit 33 for determining the user's recognition degree about the present position by referencing the recognition degree, when it is confirmed that own vehicle is out of the recommended route, a re-route instructor 34 for instructing to search again, only when the user's determined recognition degree is low, and a route information updating unit 35 for updating the recommended route, obtained by searching the presented route information again. |
