PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor having sealed structure for use in a hostile environment. SOLUTION: In the motor, a stator core 3 is placed outside a rotor 11a and 11b installed on a rotating shaft 6, and the rotating shaft 6 is held in bearings 7a and 7b. The motor is provided with bushes 5a and 5b for fixing the bearings 7a and 7b; a housing having a through hole 17 for taking out one end of the rotating shaft 6; and spring shims 19 and 25 which are positioned inside the housing and applies pressure to the bush 5a in the direction of the rotating shaft. The housing is composed a plate portion 1 and a sealing case 2 formed in the shape of a closed-end and hollow cylinder. Notches 13a and 13b are formed in the bushes 5a and 5b for positioning the stator core 3 and the rotor 11a and 11b in the direction perpendicular to the rotating shaft 6 and the rotor 11a and 11b in the direction of the rotating shaft. The plate portion 1 and the sealing case 2 constituting the housing are hermetically closed by a sealing member 9.
