The invention relates to a cross frog (1) for a set of track points, having a sliding mobile point (5) of the cross frog, which is guided in a base frame (2), can be displaced against the wing rails (6, 7) and which is laterally maintained in the contact positions thereof by means of pressure elements (10), which are fixed to said base frame (2). According to the present invention, an end of position-retaining device (12) is provided for elastically pressing the point (5) of the cross frog, in the contact positio n thereof, against said wing rails (6, 7) and said pressure elements (10). Sai d end of position-retaining device (12) is arranged within the area, which is limited by the base frame and joined to said base frame (2) or pressure elements (10) as well as to the point (5) of the cross frog.
