PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm clock, together with a method for releasing alarm, capable of preventing the alarm from keeping sounding at every fixed time every day if a user is out for an extended period with an alarm switch being set. SOLUTION: The number of times by which an alarm is automatically stopped because a user does not turn off an alarm switch 15, is counted with a auto-stop counter 18. If the count value reaches a pre-set times (for example, five times), the alarm switch 15 is automatically turned off. If the user is not assumed to be out, the auto-stop counter 18 is cleared to prevent interruption of alarming. Whether the user is present or not is estimated based on change detection means 30 and 40, etc., provided to an alarm clock 20. |
