PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical fiber array inexpensively without deteriorating the precision of array spaces in optical fibers. SOLUTION: Centering on the optical fiber 1, at one side, an optical fiber array tool 11 having guide grooves 10 sequentially from the tip part side of the optical fiber and a platy member 4 are disposed, and at the other side, a pressing plate 30 having a flat surface is oppositely disposed. The optical fiber is held by the pressing plate and the optical fiber array tool at the tip part of the pressing plate, and held by the pressing plate and the platy member at the rear end of the pressing plate. In this state, a resin material 40 for temporarily fixed layer formed on the flat surface of the platy member in advance is cured to temporarily fix each optical fiber to the platy member.
