PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain accurate temperature control and prevent deterioration of printing quality by improving the temperature detectability of a heat roller in a thermal fixing device for an electrophotographic device. SOLUTION: The heat roller is enclosed by a belt-like sheet. A contact type thermister for detecting the surface temperature of the heat roller is disposed inside the belt-like sheet. Paper with toner transferred thereto is heated and pressurized between the pressure roller and the belt-like sheet nipped between the heat roller and the pressure roller.
