PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient battery saving in a mobile station by controlling the traffic balance between the simultaneous call at the time of incoming calls and location registration according to the traffic at the time of transmitting/receiving packets. SOLUTION: A system consists of a plurality of base stations 2, a plurality of mobile stations 1 and a management server 5 for location information of each mobile section, etc., wherein a set of wireless zones formed by the respective base stations 2 forms a first area group, and each mobile station 1 shifts to a mode of periodically receiving signals from each base stations 2 if no signal is not transmitted and received for a predetermined period. To allow each mobile station 1 to be contained in a first area group in the case that each mobile station 1 is not in a communicating state, each base station 2 forms second to n-th area groups (n>=2) each having a range smaller than that of a first area so that the larger (n) becomes, the larger the range is. Each mobile station 1 selects the area group to be registered according to the period in which no packet is received and transmitted in the above mode, and specifies the area in the area group and registered its location in the server 5. |
