PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent out-of-focus from occurring by contriving how to widen a multi AF range-finding range in an autofocusing camera. SOLUTION: The first range-finding range is decided on the basis of a zoom position detected by a zoom position detection part 9a. If the detected zoom position is a telephoto side, the luminance of a subject is decided (step S46). When deciding that the luminance of the subject is low, the range-finding range is set to the one wider by one step (step S47). When deciding that the luminance of the subject is not low, the range-finding range is not changed (step S48). If the detected zoom position is standard, the luminance of the subject is decided (step S49). When deciding that the luminance of the subject is low, the range- finding range is set to the one wider by one step (step S50). When deciding that the luminance of the subject is not low, the range-finding range is not changed (step S51). If the detected zoom position is a wide angle side, the range- finding range is not changed (step S52). |
