<p>An optical fibre drop cable for suspension installation comprises electrical conductors (16) and at least one optical fibre (13). An electrically non-conductive reinforcing sleeve (20) houses the conductors (16) and the or each optical fibre (13). The reinforcing sleeve is housed in sheathing (22). In addition to or instead of the optical fibre or optical fibres (13), the reinforcing sleeve may house one or more elongate containers, preferably plastic tubes, for housing optical fibres.</p> |
