PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber array which has excellent adhesiveness between a groove for storing an optical fiber and an adhesive, which does not cause peeling between the surface of the groove and the adhesive and the displacement of the optical fiber, and accurately transmits an optical signal. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber array, a plurality of grooves are formed on part of the upper surface of a substrate, and an optical fiber is stored in the groove through the adhesive. A coupling agent layer is formed at least on the surface of the groove.
