PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To load a magnetic disk cartridge provided with a large capacity magnetic disk, in a card disk drive which has long rectangular shape with respect to a direction for insertion of the magnetic disk cartridge. SOLUTION: A head suspension moving mechanism 10 which moves a head suspension 18 back and forth is arranged in a space lateral to the insertion direction of the magnetic disk cartridge 30.
