PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new opening and closing construction capable of improving the fixability of a curtain body closing the opening portion while realizing the simple opening and closing of the opening portion formed in a partition member. SOLUTION: This opening and closing construction is equipped with an opening portion 17 freely opened and closed which can be suitably closed by the membrane body 3; at a partition member A formed to divide a certain particular area space P, the opening portion 17 is made to a edged shape by an upper frame 20 and a side frame 19 formed to an arc shape extended to the outer portion of an area space P; also, the opening portion curtain 29 has an extended portion 30 with the lower portion widened in an extended open state attached with a band-shaped reinforcing body 31 at right and left end portions; for closing the opening portion 17, the bottom of the reinforcing body 31 is pulled downward along the curve of the side frame 19 and then linked so as to permit closing as the feature of this construction.
