A primer for painting of plastics parts contains: (a) a polyester resin dissolved in solvent; (b) a filler; (c) a coloring pigment; (d) acrylic resin dissolved in a solvent; and (e) a drying accelerator dissolved in a solvent. An Independent claim is included for preparation and painting of plastic parts by application of a primer to detect damage to the parts.
