Disclosed are dihalogenpropene compounds of formula (I) wherein R1 and R2 represent halogen, Y is - O, -S, -NH, X is O-, -S(O) r-, -NR5 (wherein r=0, 1, 2 and R5 is hydrogen, C1-C8alkyl), X' is a direct C-C-bond, -O-, -S(O)r-, -NR5- (R5 has the meaning cited above), R3 is hydrogen, halogen, nitro, cyano, C1-C8alkyl, C1-C8haloalkyl, C1C8alkoxy, C1-C8haloalkoxy, C3-C10cycloalkyl or has one of the meanings defined for A, A has the meaning cited in the description (inter alia aryl, heterocyclyl), B is a bivalent bridging group with the meanings cited in the description (interalia alkylene) and R4 is a monovalent C6-C14aryl radical or nitrogen-containing heteroaryl radical with at least one ring heteroatom having the meaning cited in the description. Said compounds are used in the production of pest control agents.
