PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine if driving intention of a driver exists or not speedily and with high precision in conducting steering control to drive a vehicle along a recognized driving lane. SOLUTION: A torque value deviation absolute value TRQDEF- ABS(=|TRQ-TRQOLD|) is determined based on an absolute value of difference between a torque value TRQOLD in a previous process and a torque value TRQ in a current process (step S02) to be stored in a ring buffer (step S03). All the torque value deviation absolute values TRQDEF- ABS stored in the ring buffer are added to determine a torque value deviation total value TRQDEF- SUM (step S04). In case the torque value deviation total value TRQDEF- SUM of a prescribed driving intention determining threshold value TH1 or less has continued for a prescribed first threshold time T1 (several seconds, that is 5 sec., for example) or more (step S08: YES), it is determined that driving intention is reduced (step S09). |
