PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processing device provided with a two-sheet take-out prevention device capable of effectively preventing two-sheet take-out by imparting sending back force to paper sheet taken out of an uppermost part of the laminated paper sheets. SOLUTION: This paper sheet processing device is provided with a take-out means 9 for taking out the paper sheet 23 from the upper part of the laminated paper sheets 23, a carrying means 21 for carrying the paper sheet 23 taken out by the take-out means 9, and a processing means for performing a prescribed processing for the paper sheet 23 carried by the carrying means 21. The device is provided with a sending back type two-sheet take-out prevention means 35 capable of controlling sending back force imparted to the paper sheet 23 by synchronizing with the generation of take-out force of the take-out means 9.
