PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a screw from being damaged when a pilfer-proof cap made of metal is forcibly rotated in the direction in which the cap in a sealed state is tightly screwed. SOLUTION: The cap comprises a main body 1, a PP band 5 connected to the lower end of the main body 1 via a bridge 4, and a packing 7 fitted in the packing mount portion 8 inside the top of the main body 1. An inward thread 14 is formed on a tube 3 by a rolling process. The PP band 5 is caulked to the underneath of the flange D of a bottle mouth A. A lower knurl 17 serving as a reinforcing means is formed on at least the lower portion of the tube 3. Because the lower knurl 17 makes it difficult for the tube 3 to become large and deformed, the cap does not rotate even if the cap in a sealed state is tightly screwed. This prevents damage to the screw.
