POLLUTION CONTROL TYPE ENDOSCOPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pollution control type endoscope which permits the addition of a balloon function to a cylindrical cover which prevents the direct contact of an insertion portion with the body wall of a patient in such a manner as to avoid an increase of its cost even if the cover is made disposable. SOLUTION: This pollution control type endoscope is formed by arranging an observation window 16 at the distal end of the insertion portion 11, opening a fluid passage pipeline 18 communicating with the outside of the insertion portion 11 in the distal end of the insertion portion 11 and disposing the cylindrical cover 21 which is freely attachably and detachably covered on the insertion portion 11 so as to shield the insertion portion 11 from the outside and consists of a material having elasticity. The endoscope is provided with air tight binding means 30 for airtightly binding the cylindrical cover 21 to the outer peripheral surface near the distal end of the insertion portion 11.
