PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a calking roller for pressing the outside surface in the vicinity of the edge of a material to be calked with the roller. SOLUTION: The calking roller 26 is provided with a projected line part 34 for calking which enters an outer peripheral groove part J2 and a roller body part 33 which is arranged in parallel to the outer periphery J1 of the material J to be assembled and abutted on the outside surface K2 of a tubular material K. The projection allowance (a) of the projected line part 34 for calking from the roller body part is made smaller than the depth b of the outer peripheral groove part J2 and also the roller body part 33 is composed of the center part 51 of the roller body and the outer jacket part 53 of the roller body which is rotatably fit on the outer periphery 52 of the center part. Consequently, when the tubular material is pressed in by the projection allowance by the protruded line part, the outer jacket part of the roller body starts rotation at the same time that it is brought into contact with the outside surface near the edge. Slip does not occur between the outside surface and the calking roller. Consequently the outside surface near the edge to be calked is pressed with the roller.
