PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the operation of the user of a scanner for properly using the functions of copying a document to a printer, reading image data into a personal computer, and the like. SOLUTION: The information processor, i.e., a scanner 1, comprises a scanner section 9 for inputting image data, an operating display panel 10 for specifying a destination unit of image data, a transmission control section 6 having a means for judging the type of a specified destination unit and a means for determining a communication system depending on the judged type of the destination unit, and a network interface 7 for transmitting image data to the destination unit by the determined communication system.
