PURPOSE: An electrode for a lithium secondary battery and its preparation method are provided, to prevent the shorting due to the coating inferiority of a polymer sheet and the shorting between electrode plates due to the burr generated at a current collector and to improve the stability by preventing the side face of a current collector from being exposed directly. CONSTITUTION: The electrode comprises an electrode current collector(10) made of a conductive metal plate; and an electrode polymer sheet which is adhered to at least one face of the current collector and is made of a positive electrode or negative electrode active material, wherein the electrode polymer sheet surrounds the edge short part of the current collector to cover the edge side face of the current collector for preventing the side face from being exposed. Preferably the electrode polymer sheet has a viscosity of 10-50 cps. Preferably the electrode polymer sheets(20a, 20b) which are adhered to both faces of the current collector, and the parts(22a, 22b) which is not contact with the current collector(10) are adhered to each other. |
