PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of suitably altering gradation characteristic so that an image formed on a medium and an image formed on a monitor are made to approach to each other in the visible condition, an image processing method, a program for implementing the image processing method and a storage medium storing the program for implementing the image processing method. SOLUTION: One of the plurality of gradation converting techniques can be selected by an operating part 15, and according to the brightness information L obtained from a hard copy, the density information Dmax, Dmin on an image formed on the film, and the selected gradation converting technique, the gradation converting characteristic for monitor display is altered, whereby good gradation converting characteristic can be obtained by using the selected gradation converting technique and the density and brightness information, and the visible condition can be made to approach to that of the image formed on the medium so as to decrease the incompatibility of an image reading person observing both of the images. |
