PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage regulator which can be surely turned off even when it is used in an environment such as high where temperature, and large impedance of an external load. SOLUTION: This voltage regulator is constituted so that an impedance between an output voltage terminal and a reference terminal can be reduced when it is turned off. Thus, when the voltage regulator is used in an environment where a temperature is high, and the impedance of an external load is large, the output terminal voltage can be prevented from being increased even when a leak current of an output circuit is increased, and it can be surely turned off.
