PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image processor for converting the colors of an image document copy color image in which there are mixed black-and-white images, using simple operations. SOLUTION: The color image process comprises a means for reading images on an original manuscript, a means for processing the image data read, a means for outputting the processed image data on a paper, a means for designating the process contents, and a display means. An operating input unit 4 designates a color conversion mode and colors after conversion, a system controller 6 instructs an image processing section 2, to convert black-and-white regions contained in the color copy original manuscript to the gamut of colors designated among developed primary colors. Upon designation of the color conversion mode and colors, the system controller 6 instructs the image processing section 2 to convert color regions contained in the color copy of the document to the black-and-white regions of colors, designated among the developed primary colors. |
