PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display device with improved image quality without damage due to thermal expansion difference. SOLUTION: A plate shaped structure body 24 is provided between a first substrate having fluorescent body layer formed on an inner surface thereof and a second substrate having plural electron sources emitting electron beam toward the fluorescent body layer. The plate shaped structure body formed thereon has plural electron beam passing holes 26 corresponding to the electron sources. The plate shaped structure body includes a thermal expansion easing part 44 easing thermal expansion difference between the first substrate and the second substrate.
