PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a shifting amount between a pair of pixel blocks having correlation to each other at a sub-pixel level with good accuracy. SOLUTION: This image processor has a stereo processing part 4 for calculating ht shifting amount of the pixel level at the minimum city block distance in discrete distribution of city block distances, and a sub-pixel processing part 5 for generating interpolation data on brightness by interpolating the brightness between the adjacent pixels of one pick-up image at the sub-pixel level, performing stereo matching between the above image and the other pick-up image to obtain a sub-pixel component of the shifting amount, and outputting the shifting amount at the sub-pixel level according to the shifting amount of the pixel level and the sub-pixel component.
