PURPOSE: A system and a method for offering book information through an e-mail and a recording medium storing a program source are provided to make a member interested in a book by sending a selected part of the chosen book to the member everyday as the e-mail. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal, a book information providing server(20), and a cooperating bookshop are connected with the Internet. The book information providing server(20) comprises a member management module(21) managing the information of a user registered as the member, a book information management module(22) storing and managing the selected part by each unit, an AD(ADvertisement) information management module(23) collecting and managing the AD information of cooperating companies, and an e-mail sending module(24) sending the e-mail to the member by editing the selected part of the book and the AD information. The member management module(21) stores a literature genre selected by the member in a member information database(25) by making the member input the interesting genre at registration.
