PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter which can perform charge control geared to the classification of power connected, easily and inexpensively without doing harm to the users' convenience. SOLUTION: This power converter is equipped with a DC power source classification specifying means 11 which has a connector for connecting a DC power source 10, and specifies the classification of power source and outputs a power source classification signal. Here, a control means 20 switches a charge control method, based on the classification of the power source obtained by the DC power source classification specifying means 11, and switches the charge control method based on the classification of the power source, whereby the user can perform charge control geared to the classification of the power source easily and inexpensively without marring the convenience. |
