PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which is so composed that the optical pickup is usable in a stacked optical memory and a movable part is movable in Z-axis direction and around X-axis direction. SOLUTION: The optical pickup A is provided with a movable means 10 for moving a movable part 3 which is supported on a supporting bed 1 by a supporting spring 2 and has a penetration hole 3a, in the vertical z-axis direction and around the x-axis direction. On the movable means, a first and a second outer side parts 8A and 8B are arranged on one side and on the other side of the supporting bed. Further, the optical pickup A is provided with magnetic cores 5A and 5B which have at least two inner side parts 7A and 7B loosely fitted to the penetration hole of the movable part, along the Y-axis direction perpendicular to the X-axis direction, permanent magnets 6A and 6B furnished along the outer side parts or the inner side parts of the magnetic cores, and at least two horizontally laid coils 4A and 4B which are furnished along the Y-axis direction and have current paths in the direction around Z-axis in a space between the permanent magnets and the outer side parts or the inner side parts which are opposite to the permanent magnets.
