PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve temperature followingness during passing of a small size paper in a fixing device. SOLUTION: Inside a cylindrical fixing roller 300, a main heater 3010 of double end type and sub heaters 3011, 3012 of single end type are arranged. The main heater 3010 and the sub heaters 3011, 3012 are arranged such that the main heater 3010 heats a small size (B5 of standard size) paper passing zone, and that the sub heaters 3011, 3012 heat an outside zone from their both edge portions. When the small size paper is heated, the main heater 3010 is used. When the paper of the size larger than that is heated, the main heater 3010 and the subs heaters 3011, 3012 are used. |
