PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service information providing system, a host computer and a terminal device providing positional information of a nearest service shop to a present position of a user (an image recorder) desiring service. SOLUTION: The portable terminal 3 or a user terminal 6 which is an information sending and receiving means is connected to a digital still camera 2, and a search for the nearest service shop for receiving the desired service is carried out to a host computer 1. The responding host computer 1 acquires model information, present position information or the like regarding the digital still camera 2 from the portable terminal 3 and it retrieves a relevant service shop from a database 1-A. The positional information of the relevant service shop is displayed in a liquid crystal screen of the digital still camera 2 via the portable terminal 3 or the user terminal 6. |
