In the receiver, the guard interval length information to be used for the next transmission is determined from a received signal, the guard interval is removed (106), and a signal (SIDRM) of a frequency area is generated by executing Fourier transform (107), parallel/serial converted (108), and demodulated. The guard interval length information is determined from the level of a correlative value between N sampled in the end of the guard interval and N sampled in the end of a valid symbol part.
