PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer take-up device and method, which prevent scratches on the surface of an electronic parts mounting film carrier tape, and prevent deformation, such as bending and damages to an inner lead, and folds caused by the bent carrying electronic parts mounting film tape. SOLUTION: A nip roll consisting of a pair of main rollers and pressure rollers is disposed between a supply device and the spacer take-up device. When a spacer is conveyed by the nip roll, being pinched between the main roller and the pressure roller, the main roller is subjected to braking torque of a given amount that works in the direction opposite to conveyance.
