PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set that can display substantial display contents on the entire display area of a display section. SOLUTION: The telephone making communication through a line is provided with a display section 12 that displays various information items, an operation section 11 for a user to make various operations such as dialing, and a sub display section 25 provided to a multi-function key 24 of the operation section 11. The sub display section 25 displays selected items of the various functions to be shifted to the sub display section 25 among display contents displayed on the display section 12 so as to increase the displayable display area of the display section 12.
