Device for generating input-output signals (port signals) to a microcontroller for emulation of a microcontroller application, whereby: a standard microcontroller ( mu C) operating in bus mode is used with no special emulation mode; a separate port emulation unit (PNE) is provided; and the microcontroller carries out commands that are not identical with existing commands via the port emulation unit.
