PURPOSE: An OSD device is provided to display OSD screen data at a display unit in a type wanted by a user, and remove or change the OSD screen data by separating an external memory. CONSTITUTION: An external memory, EEPROM(Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read Only Memory)(230) has a memory area corresponding to a data storing area of an internal memory(242) and has OSD(On Screen Display) screen data to be displayed at the memory area corresponding to a position of a display screen. A connection terminal(243) attaches and detaches the EEPROM. A CPU(220) judges whether the EEPROM is attached to the connection terminal. An OSD control unit(241) reads the OSD screen data from the EEPROM according to the connection of the connection terminal with the EEPROM, and displays the read OSD screen data at a display unit(260) with video signal displayed at the display unit. |
