<p>The invention relates to a device for joining a longitudinal support with a bone fixation means, in particular a pedicle screw. Said device comprises: A) a bone fixation means (4) having an upper spherical segment (6) and a lower segment (7), which can be fixed to a bone; B) a joining piece (1) having a longitudinal axis (10), a hollow area (13), which passes through said joining piece (1) coaxially to the longitudinal axis (10) and tapers to the lower end (12) by means of at least one shoulder (14), and a channel (15), which passes through said joining piece (1) diametrically with regard to said longitudinal axis (10) for receiving a longitudinal support (8); C) a locking ring (2), which can be displaced coaxially within said hollow area (13) and has a cavity (20) tapering to the upper end (11) of said joining piece (1) and D) a clamping means (9), which can be mounted on the upper end (11) of the joining piece (1) as well as a longitudinal support (8) which can be clamped within said channel (15), whereby E) locking means (3), which are fixed axially in relation to the longitudinal axis (10), are arranged within the hollow area (13) and narrow said hollow area (13) at the first end (21) of said locking ring (2).</p> |
