PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image recording medium by which a thin and flexible backlighted image body can easily be obtained and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: An image recording layer 5 is provided on one surface of a sheet type base 3 and an EL light emission layer 7 which transmits projection light through the image recording layer 5 is provided between the base 3 and image recording layer 5 or on the opposite surface of the base 3 from the surface where the image recording layer 5 is provided. By its manufacturing method, a protection layer which is elastic and tackcy is provided on at least one of the top and reverse surfaces of the image recording medium 1 and after the image recording medium 1 is cut to specified size, the cut surface is coated with the protection layer deformed and extended by pressing the cut side part along the thickness of the sheet. |
