METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SEPARATION OF BLOOD COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood-component separation apparatus by which blood plasma can be separated even when a centrifugal device is not available and by which the blood plasma can be separated from a blood component in a small quantity. SOLUTION: The blood-component separation apparatus comprises at least a means I by which the blood component is brought into contact with a chemical substance, and a means II by which the blood component is modified or immobilized by the chemical substance. As the means I by which the blood component is brought into contact with the chemical substance, at least a means (1) by which the blood component is mixed with a solution containing the chemical substance is provided. As the means II by which the blood component is modified or immobilized by the chemical substance, the chemical substance used to modify or immobilize the blood component and a solution which has dissolved the chemical substance are housed in the means (1), by which the blood component is mixed with the solution containing the chemical substance.
