PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device and a control method for an elevator which prevents break-in to a specific floor and recurrence of the same kind of crime, and improves security, in an elevator provided with means for cutting off a service to a specific floor in order to prevent unnecessary break-in to the specific floor. SOLUTION: This control device is provided with a service cutting off switch absurdity detecting unit 13 for detecting abnormality of the service cutting off device 4. By the detecting abnormality, operation of a cage is stopped to dwell in a middle portion between floors, difficult to escape. An elevator monitoring terminal device 5 informs such a state to a monitoring center 7, which asks a security guard to confirm the state. The dwell state can be released from the monitoring center 7 depending on the condition. |
