PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-hardenable composition containing iron sulfate, cement and a polycarboxylic acid based polymer compound. SOLUTION: The water-hardenable composition is excellent in the effect for preventing elution of hexavalent chromium, can maintain appropriate fluidity for a fixed term in its kneaded material after water is added, is excellent in warkability in the construction field, such as application properties, form placing properties and the like, and is provided with excellent strength developing properties and fluidity maintaining properties without generating excess setting retardation.
