PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular motor which can be mounted on either of right and left sides, and can facilitate a push-in operation of a pushing member of an automatic stop means. SOLUTION: This tubular motor is equipped with: a tubular motor body which is impacted into a winding pipe; the automatic stop means 19 for interrupting the supply of an electric current to the tubular motor body when an output shaft of the tubular motor body reaches the prescribed number of revolutions; a manual mechanism 23 which has a worm wheel 32 coupled with the tubular motor body in an integrally revolvable manner, so as to run and drive the tubular motor body; and a revolution transmission mechanism 22 which transmits the revolution between the winding pipe and a movable member 36 of the means 19 while bypassing the tubular motor body. Coupling parts 33b for being coupled with turning operation tools are provided at both ends of a worm shaft 33 of the manual mechanism 23, respectively. The means 19 has the pushing member 40 for setting and adjusting a stop position, and the pushing member 40 is provided so as to be orthogonal to the worm shaft 33.
