PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic force supporting device working as a structure fixing and connecting between two structures in an earthquake motion relatively displacing in a short time and preventing the connecting structure from applying unnecessary force to the other structures in a slow relative displacement in the connecting structure between the two structures supposed to cause relative displacement. SOLUTION: The connecting structure is fixed to a structure only in one side and two or more hydro-pneumatic cylinders formed by connecting rod-side pressure chambers to each other and anti-rod side pressure chambers to each other by pipes with orifices respectively are added to an unfixed soft and elastic support side in a point symmetry disposition. An orifice aperture is so adjusted to hardly cause a pressure loss by a slow piston movement due to the relative displacement of the thermoresponse and ground subsidence and to cause a large pressure loss by a speed in the extent of the earthquake motion. In the earthquake, an appropriate hydro-pneumatic cylinder is selected based on a support force expected to the hydro-pneumatic cylinder and the extent of the pressure loss.
