BAKING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a baking device coping with the situation when a substrate transfer system to a setter breaks down. SOLUTION: This baking device is provided with: a kiln body 10 for baking a glass substrate while conveying the glass substrate in the state of being placed on the heat resistant setter S; a setter conveyor 20 disposed to connect the inlet and outlet of the kiln body 10; a substrate supply means 30 for placing the glass substrate before baking on the setter; and a substrate receiving means 40 for transferring the glass substrate after baking from the setter. The setter conveyor 20 has a mechanism for stopping the setter at least from a position in front of the heating part of the kiln body 10. The number of the stopped setters S is to be not less than the number of the setters that can enter the heating part of the kiln body 10, and at least partial speed setting of the setter conveyor 20 is variable.
