PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily record the inserting state data of an endoscope even in the state of using both the hands of a user of the endoscope and to easily recognize the inserting state data of the endoscope in the case of re-examination. SOLUTION: An endoscope inserting form observing device 3 for observing the inserting part form, or the like, of an electronic endoscope 5 is connected through an image input/output device 11 to an image filing device 12 and in the image filing device 12, the inserting state data of the endoscope inserting part observed by the endoscope inserting part form observing device 3 are recorded while being related with an endoscope image, or the like, picked up by the electronic endoscope 5. Besides, when the endoscope image recorded in the image filling device 12 is reproduced on a monitor after examination, the inserting state data corresponding thereto are simultaneously displayed.
